Welcome to Mokoia School

Nau mai! Haere mai!

Welcome to Mokoia School, a warm and inviting place for your children to learn. Nestled in the heart of South Taranaki, we are a small rural school that fosters strong family-like relationships between children, staff, and whanau.

Our team of committed educators focus on what matters in young lives, allowing your child to learn and thrive through active and experiential learning, providing a wide range of educational experiences. We are proud to provide an education that is tailored to your child’s individual needs and personality, encouraging them to become their best unique self.

Mā te whiritahi, ka whakatutuki ai ngā pūmanawa ā tāngata.

Mokoia School will light the way to the future for your child.

ABOUT

Rural education at its best!

Mokoia School caters for children from years 0-6. We are situated on SH3, less than 10kms from Hawera.

Our school grounds feature a lovely brick building with two well presented classrooms. Attached is a well stocked library. There are tennis courts, two swimming pools, a maypole, swings and two adventure playgrounds, set in attractive gardens. The school is designed to provide extra challenges and enjoyment for all our learners.

Our fantastic teachers cater for each child’s learning needs. The Board of Trustees and support staff work hard to ensure that all children are able to progress. They also ensure the school is well resourced. Transport areas are from the Ohangai and Whakamara areas.
